Two business students at the University of Salford contacted me to produce visuals for their pitch for their idea of a gig-finding app that had a ‘matching’ function similar to Tinder where artists could, for example, link up with a venue with an empty slot to fill and they'd then arrange for that artist to then play at the venue. It also works for gig-goers too where they can filter what they want to see and how much they want to spend and then 'ping' to see what results come up in their area.
I came up with the name, logo and app design but the overall idea won the University of Salford’s Tech Angels ‘Dragon’s Den’ award in late 2015. The clear visuals and strong use of iconography to help improve usability were a deciding factor.
